Our Partners

Mask-arade, a dynamic, rapidly-expanding young company in Southam, Warwickshire, have chosen Cord as their charity partner. Inspired by Cord’s peacebuilding work, Mask-arade generously donate a commission on each personalised mask ordered online to further Cord’s vital work in Africa and Asia. “Facing up to Peace” was launched in May 2011, fronted by Chris Tarrant – and a whole lot of look-alike Chris Tarrants!

EMA are, like Cord, based in Leamington Spa but work nationally in the UK. Cord was attractive as a charity partner not only because of our excellent work but also because of our international reach; EMA was not content just to support local charities.

Cord offers EMA opportunities to raise their profile locally through sponsorship of mailings and of fundraising concerts; and Cord has benefitted from EMA’s support in kind, of human resources consultancy skills.

Anthony Collins Solicitors
of Birmingham are doing 12 months of collective firm wide fund raising for charities and support groups from October 2010 – October 2011. Called 4 Cubed because 4 of the firm’s partners plan to run 4 x 10km races, 4 x half marathons and 4 x marathons, 4 Cubed also involves each specialist team in the law firm raising fundsfor their chosen charity. Cord has been chosen by both the Business law team and the Charity law team to benefit from their ingenious fundraising efforts. ACS’ Wills and Probate team also supported Cord’s first Wills Week in 2011 and the ACS Charity team have donated support in kind, of their specialist legal skills.

Geoffrey Parker Bourne of Stratford upon Avon, Blythe Liggins,  and Wright Hassall  both of Leamington Spa, Penmans and Button Legal all kindly donated their Wills and Probate expertise to Cord supporters at half price during Cord’s first Wills Week – and are all prepared to support Cord in our second year too!

Winepoole, an independent fine wine merchant in Warwick,  has run two most successful winetasting evenings for Cord so far and enhanced other Cord events at a generous discount with their fine wines.

Distinctive Floral Design

Distinctive Floral Design  delights audiences with themed floral design demonstrations for spring and Christmas in luxurious venues, in aid of Cord’s peacebuilding work. These are becoming regular attractions for some Cord supporters.

Hats & Co

Hats & Co. kindly supports Cord at Open Day events and at speaking engagements.

Shoezone LogoLong term corporate supporters of Cord, the company chose to help refugees who are returning home after years of war to find their country devastated and their homes destroyed. Cord is working to help rebuild roads and bridges, provide a seed bank, build new homes and repair schools.

‘Shoezone’s generosity means that our Country Director and his team will be able to get about and work much more effectively in this huge region’ said Cord’s Chief Executive, Brian Wakley. ‘Our existing vehicle has served in Mozambique and Tanzania and done loyal service, but it is literally falling apart and is unreliable. This gift will make all the difference.’
