Cord’s Community Ambassadors are making a noise across the UK to raise awareness of our work.
Our dedicated volunteers help us spread the word within communities and raise money for communities in Africa and Asia. Promoting Cord in many different ways they make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of people overseas. Have you got what it takes? We are looking for people all over the UK with bags of enthusiasm, a passion for development, able to use their initiative, that can work alone or in small groups and are committed to Cord’s values and ethos. How can you help? We really need people to speak confidently at events about our work. These may be held by schools, churches or community groups. We will support you with guidance, materials and background information so you can answer people’s questions confidently. But don’t worry if public speaking isn’t your thing. Organising or helping at events, or assisting with our communications to local groups is crucial too. What’s in it for you? We know volunteering is a two way street. It can be a great springboard onto other things so we want to make your time with us worthwhile. As well as widening your knowledge of development issues, you will gain loads of valuable experience in the following areas: All of which look great whether you’re applying to a university or for a job. Oh and quite often there’s cake or biscuits too! Get in touch with us for more information, we'd love to talk. |
