Fundraising

Raising money to support Cord’s work with children is a welcome and effective way of encouraging good citizenship, and of extending the value of your school’s involvement with us.

Frequently pupils/students make this positive response themselves. We can help with ideas on raising money for specific projects, providing publicity materials and putting up displays.

Your school could raise enough to provide materials for school children in refugee camps in Chad; to buy sports equipment for our football leagues; or be ambitious and aim to kit out a whole school in Burundi.

A few simple ideas that don’t take a lot of organising!

• Organise a sponsored silence …
• Form a Cord support group adopting us as Charity of the Year
• Make and sell cakes to other pupils
• Hold an ‘as new’ sale and sell unwanted toys, games, books and DVD's
• Hold a non-uniform day, a disco or a gig
