Cord's Schools Programme
|
What would you take with you if you were forced to flee from your home, with only a few minutes to gather a few things together? You’ll have to carry everything yourself and may be walking in the hot sun for several weeks. You may never go back to your home again!
If we are to succeed in our vision of helping people peacefully build a new life after years of violent conflict, it is vital that young people understand what life is like for so many of those in developing countries who’ve suffered from war and conflict. Our young people are tomorrow’s leaders and they want to know what they -as young people- can do to help people build a new life. This is why Cord’s Schools Programme is so important. We recognise that teachers are increasingly being required to address these global issues, and that’s where we can help; by sharing our 40 years’ experience of working with people in the World’s major conflict zones. |
