VIDEO: Impact of the recent conflict in Chad

CORD Country Director, Laura Snoxell, updates on the latest situation in Chad, where she leads a team working in four camps with Sudanese refugees from the ongoing crisis in Darfur.

This week thousands more are pouring over the border seeking sanctuary. Meanwhile Chad remains on high alert following fierce battles in the capital, N’Djamena, between Government and rebel forces, in which hundreds were killed and injured, forcing a widespread evacuation.

As Laura reports from our HQ in the UK, this is impacting on the CORD staff and the 80,000 refugees with whom the charity has worked for the past four years.
