BBC's Sarah Falkland named as Cord Ambassador
Monday, 06 April 2009 15:04

Cord is delighted to announce that BBC News Presenter Sarah Falkland has become our Ambassador.

Sarah, a well known face to viewers of Midlands Today, said she was delighted to be involved in the charity’s peace building work.

"I'm truly honoured to be an Ambassador for Cord,’ said Sarah. ‘ It's about time the fantastic work they do is shouted from the roof-tops!  So many people around the world are suffering because of wars...so many lives destroyed. Cord's people on the ground really do make a difference, they deserve our support.’

Sarah, who begun her duties by hosting Cord’s Christmas Concert, will be busy with a diary of fundraising events, including a Family Race Day at Warwick Racecourse on August Bank Holiday Monday and the annual Golf Day at Stoneleigh Deer Park course on 17 September.

She joins singer Corinne Bailey Rae who has been a Cord Ambassador since 2007.
