Cord is a member of People In Aid, which is a global network of development and humanitarian assistance agencies. People In Aid’s mission is to promote, support and recognise good practice in the management of aid personnel.

To achieve this mission People in Aid offers four services, intended to improve human resource management in the relief and development sector throughout the world:

• maintain a dynamic standard of human resource management in the Code of Good Practice;
• promote good practice in human resource management within the People In Aid network, and beyond;
• provide a range of resources to improve and build capacity in human resource management;
• provide recognition of achievements in good practice.
