Cord is working with Cambodian organisations to lead their own peaceful development.

In South East Asia Cord’s Regional team based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia provides capacity development through advice, mentoring and coaching, training and technical support to 20 local partners, equipping them with an understanding of how to make the best of opportunities for growth and change.

Huge social injustice and extreme poverty still exists in country, while underlying tensions between communities remain unresolved. Encouraging peaceful problem solving skills and understanding the value of others’ points of view is integral to Cord’s work as is their human rights programme alongside encouraging women to be more involved in decision making.
