Cambodia: Other Partners
Banteay Srei
Again it’s the women who live and work in the countryside villages who are the focus: some want to go back to school, others to start their own business to feed their family; to be able to have a voice in local democracy and to better understand their rights. Banteay Srei believes that by harnessing this ‘girl power’ the poorest of women can work together to rebuild their lives. It’s a sentiment Cord is keen to endorse.

SCC - Salvation Centre Cambodia - works with Buddhist monks to care for and improve the lives of people infected or affected by HIV and AIDS. Among Khmers, Buddhist monks are trusted, respected and influential figures, who work tirelessly educating about prevention, as well as caring for the ill and supporting their families, especially vulnerable and orphaned children.
