Connect Autumn 2020 I recently read an article written by a friend of mine that challenged people to answer the question ‘how are you?’ in just three words. As I have taken time to reflect on the year to date, the following three words seem appropriate for me; Stretched, Determined, Thankful Maybe some of those words connect with you? I would suspect I’m not alone in feeling stretched, I’ve very much needed to lean on God during this time for guidance and wisdom. The past six months have certainly been a whirlwind, with change being seen everywhere we look. However, amidst theuncertainty and change I’ve seen the Cord team determined to stay focussed on our mission and not to get blown off course. With your support we continue to work tirelessly to see people step into greater freedom all around the world. As the challenges arising from Coronavirus continue, the necessity of Cord’s work with communities in Burundi, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar & Vietnam very much remains. We will keep highlighting the needs of the most vulnerable and marginalised. We are thankful for the generosity of our supporters that enables us to stay the course, to remain committed to those we work with and to keep building the relationships that will support lasting peace. We very much appreciated the encouragement and feedback on the summer edition of our new Connect magazine and emails and I do hope you enjoy our autumn edition. Please do get in touch with any feedback as we love hearing from you! Wishing you and your family a safe and merry Christmas.
