Leaving a Legacy to Cord Nigel and Delia told us why they've chosen to make this very special decision which will allow us to continue to work towards peace for years to come. "Soon after we were married we heard about the work of Cord and what was happening among the huge number of orphans from the Vietnam War. In the following years the work advanced to other countries, including the Philippines where Cord was again helping orphaned children. Some of the children were being adopted and in about 1980 we were led to apply to adopt a child. We were thrilled to be accepted to adopt a little boy. We were told it would take time to bring him out of the country and it was a great disappointment when the British Government then stopped children from being adopted from overseas. We were able to go on to adopt in the UK and had the joy of adopting five children over 12 years. Our interest has continued in the work of Cord together with our prayers and giving for many years. We have seen the work develop and progress over that time with the various projects helping the disadvantaged, as the good news of the Gospel is put into practice. We are very glad we can continue to support the work, both now and in the future, as we decided to make a legacy gift in our Wills. We hope many reading this will be inspired to help the work in this way." We are so grateful for their commitment and generosity to Cord.
