Programme Manager - Laos

Salary dependent on experience & qualifications

Cord is looking for someone who is passionate about seeing positive change in our world and can bring strong project management skills to our small and committed team to support in achieving the vision.

Cord implements peacebuilding projects in challenging contexts with limited civic participation space. The programmes are often multi-sectoral with clear peacebuilding components and approaches. The programme manager will bring understanding of peace building approaches to the role.

The primary purpose of the Programme Manager’s role is to manage multiple projects in the Cord country programme ensuring that design, implementation and reporting of activities are carried out effectively in line with best practice and donor requirements. The main areas of responsibility are project management, project budget management, programme planning, staff capacity building, reporting, and the line management of programme staff. The post holder will also contribute to match fundraising for projects, business development and implementation in line with Cord’s country programme strategy and learning.

Cord has recently launched its new strategy, promoting the power of peaceful relationships building on what we’ve learnt from the previous strategy and adapting to the new challenges and opportunities that are present in the world today. The programme manager will have a key role in embedding this strategy in the Lao context.
