A legacy is a very special kind of gift. Leaving a gift in your will, no matter how big or small, will make a huge contribution to Cord’s work long into the future.

A legacy to Cord is a commitment to our work and to a world where peace is a reality for all.

Why should I leave a gift in my will?

A Will captures your love, values and passions. It declares your care for the people you hold most dear and the things that matter to you most. Once you have looked after friends and family, choosing to leave a gift to Cord expresses your commitment to our projects and all those who they benefit.

How do I leave a gift?

Many of those who support us in this special way do so by leaving a percentage of their estate. This is called a residuary legacy and is a percentage or share of the balance of your estate once all other payments and gifts have been made. Another option is a pecuniary legacy which is a fixed amount of money.

We recommend you consult a solicitor or expert legal advisor to update or write your Will. You can find all the information you need to include in your will in our legacy brochure.
