Protecting families and homes in Bangladesh resources Thousands of families could lose their homes. Will you help us to bring peace and security to their communities? (Donate button) The Chittagong Hill Tracts region of Bangladesh is home to 11 indigenous communities. They have been living in the region for centuries. The forest has provided for them. Families have protected the environment by only taking the resources they need. The communities have taken care of the forest and the forest has taken care of them. Their land is taken and the environment is damaged But now indigenous people are losing their land rights and access to natural resources. Private businesses, the army and government authorities are taking the land. They are damaging the environment and degrading the soil. Families are being driven from their homes and the forests that supported them. Meet Nitimoy (link to another page about Nitimoy – see below) Nitimoy’s family could lose everything Help to protect families and their homes With your support we can help Nitimoy and thousands like him.
