A gift of ... hope

Illegal logging continues to threaten the safety and livelihood of families in the Cambodian and Vietnamese rainforests. Day and night patrols – often by women – are dangerous but essential for gathering evidence and identifying those responsible. Communities are hopeful that productive conversations and positive action will follow once the evidence is presented to authorities, thus protecting their environment.

As one example of Cord’s work, just £30 could train local women in safe evidence gathering, or could provide training in non-violent communication and negotiation techniques.
